Directions to schools from LPCS

Bolton Central School:  @ 58 miles.  26 Horicon Ave, Bolton Landing     (518) 644-2400
Take Route 30 south from Speculator.  Turn left on Route 8.  Turn Right at the light in Wevertown.  Continue on Route 8 and turn right onto Route 9.  Turn left onto Diamond Point Road (at the light just past the McDonalds).  At the bottom of the hill, turn left onto Lake Shore Drive go @5.6 miles.  Turn left onto Horicon Ave., the school is on the right. 

Indian Lake:   @ 24 miles.  West Main Street, Indian Lake  (518) 648-5024
Take Route 30 north from Speculator.  Turn left on Route 28.  The school is ¼ mile on the left.

Johnsburg Central School:  @ 35 miles.   Main St, North Creek    (518) 251-2921
Take Route 30 south from Speculator.  Turn left onto Route 8.   Turn left onto Peaceful Valley Road.  (Gore Mountain Road)  Follow to T in road, turn left onto Route 28.  Turn right onto Peaceful Valley Road.  Turn right onto Main Street.  School is on the right (top of the hill).

Long Lake Central School:  @46 miles.  School Street, Long Lake   (518) 624-2221
Take Route 30 north from Speculator.  Turn left on Route 30/28.  Continue on Route 30 to Blue Mountain Lake.  Bear to the right, staying on Route 30/28N.  Continue to Long Lake, turn left onto 30 (near Hoss’s Store).  School is about ½ mile the left.  The soccer field is on the left before the school.

Newcomb/Minerva Central School: 
Minerva:  @ 40 miles  CR 29, Olmstedville    (518) 251-2000
Take Route 30 south from Speculator.  Turn left onto Route 8.   Turn left onto Peaceful Valley Road.  (Gore Mountain Road)  Follow to T in road, turn left onto Route 28.  Turn right onto Route 28N, follow for approx. 5 miles.  Bear to the right onto CR29 (Olmstedville sign).  School is on the left.

Newcomb:  @ 60 miles if you go North  (@ 64 miles if you go South – see below)   (518) 582-3341
Take Route 30 north from Speculator.  Turn left on Route 30/28.  Continue on Route 30 to Blue Mountain Lake.  Bear to the right, staying on Route 30/28N.  Continue to Newcomb.  School is on the right.

Take Route 30 south from Speculator.  Turn left onto Route 8.   Turn left onto Peaceful Valley Road.  (Gore Mountain Road)  Follow it until the end, turn left onto Route 28.  Turn right onto Route 28N follow to Newcomb.  School is on the Left.

Northville:  @ 30 miles.   131 S 3rd St, Northville     (518) 863-7000
Take Route 30 south from Speculator.  Turn left onto Bridge Street in Northville.  School is on the right.

St. Mary’s Amsterdam:  @55 miles.   Amsterdam, NY     (518) 842-4100
Take Rt. 30 into Amsterdam. Drive past KFC, McDonalds, and take your first left after the Stewart’s Shop (on right). Go about ½ mile and take a left at light (Church St.)  Stay on Church St. for about 1.5 – 2 miles. St. Mary’s will be on your left. Look for the sign.

Get off exit 18 from the Northway (87). Take a left off the exit. Follow this until the road splits. There will be a Stewart's Shop in front of you. Bear to the right following signs to the Hospital. Go past the Hospital until you come to a five way intersection. Go straight through this light onto Warren St. Take a left onto Center St. Then take a left onto Maple St. Take you next left onto Church St. The school is on your right.

(SOCCER)  Crandall Park - Take Northway South to exit 19. Get off exit 19 and take a right onto Aviation Rd. Follow Aviation Rd to Glen St. Take a right onto Glen St. Follow Glen St. straight for approximately 2 miles. Field is on your right hand side just past the YMCA.

Schroon Lake : @55 miles.   1125 US Rte 9, PO Box 338   (518) 532-7164   
Take Route 30 south from Speculator.  Turn left onto Route 8. Go strait at Wevertown light. Approx. 3 miles after crossing the Hudson River Bridge, take a left on Route 9. Stay on Route 9 for approx. 19 miles until you reach Schroon Lake. School will we on the north end of town on the left.

Wheelerville Union Free School: @36 miles.   2417 Route 10, Caroga Lake    (518) 835-2171  
Take Route 8 West from Speculator.  Turn left onto Route 10 for 23 miles.  Once in Caroga Lake, bear to the right staying on Route 10 for almost a mile and school is on the left.
